The lawyers at Williams, Moliterno & Scully Co., L.P.A. blend their diverse talents to handle a wide range of civil litigation. The firm has an active insurance defense practice, wherein it represents virtually every major property and casualty insurance carrier in the country. We also represent several self-insured corporations such as Toys "R" Us, and Giant Eagle, Inc. In addition, our lawyers actively represent businesses and individuals in various civil trial matters.
The firm also handles a large volume of appellate work. This includes evaluating and litigating appeals, preparing post trial motions, as well as briefing and arguing before various Courts of Appeals in Ohio. Several members of our firm have appeared before the Ohio Supreme Court.
We have maintained the firm at a very manageable size so that we do not lose our ability to represent all of our clients, with an emphasis on individual attention. OUR HISTORY
In 1993, in recognition of the changing environment in the area of insurance defense, Roger H. Williams formed this law firm and practiced initially in Hudson, Ohio. Roger Williams brought with him nearly 15 years of jury trial and appellate experience and excellent rapport with clients, lawyers and judges alike.
The purpose of the founding of the firm was to provide efficient and quality representation to individuals, businesses and insurance carriers throughout the region and the nation.
In October of 1995, Louis R. Moliterno joined the firm, and has been with the firm on a continuous basis since that time. Lou Moliterno was promoted to Partner in 2001 and has enhanced his practice with jury trials, appellate arguments and client education seminars.
In 1997, the firm moved from Hudson to its current location in Twinsburg, Ohio. Given the firm's central location, which is equidistant to Cleveland and Akron, our attorneys routinely travel throughout the State of Ohio, having access to the Ohio Turnpike, Interstate 480 and all other major interstates connecting cities across Northern Ohio.
William F. Scully Jr. joined the firm as a partner in April of 1998, and brought to the firm at that time over 24 years of legal experience. Bill Scully’s trial resume includes matters in both state and federal courts, and experience with labor, insurance, tort and business litigation.
Joseph H. Wantz joined the firm December of 2000. Joe Wantz, an experienced trial attorney, also brought to the firm a wealth of experience in the area of uninsured/underinsured motorist law, having practiced before the Ohio Supreme Court on numerous occasions in that regard. Mr. Wantz has also presented numerous CLE programs for attorneys, and client education seminars.
Kelly N. Grigsby also joined the firm in the year 2000. Kelly Grigsby previously served as Judicial Staff Attorney for now retired Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Lillian J. Greene. She was promoted to Partner in 2005, and contributes her experience to jury trials, legal education seminars, and appellate matters.
Perrin I. Sah joined the firm in May of 2003, following his employment as house counsel for Allstate Insurance Company. Needless to say, he brought with him a wealth of trial experience. Perrin Sah was promoted to Partner in 2008 and has amassed several jury verdicts, appellate decisions and Ohio Supreme Court decisions favoring insurance companies and their insureds.
Anne M. Markowski joined the firm in April 2010, bringing more than 10 years of trial experience to this practice. She most recently worked as house counsel for Allstate Insurance Company, with impeccable trial results.
Ian R. Luschin and Joshua R. Angelotta both joined the firm in 2006. Ian Luschin quickly gained recognition with clients and colleagues for his trial skills and legal writing. Josh Angelotta continued the family tradition of practicing law and has defended several jury trials and participated in alternate dispute resolutions.
